Post-Publication Discussion
Jurnal Triton, published by Politeknik Pembangunan Pertanian Manokwari, is committed to promoting scientific transparency, academic dialogue, and the continuous improvement of published research. The journal recognizes that scholarly communication extends beyond the initial publication of an article and encourages constructive post-publication discussion to strengthen the reliability, reproducibility, and impact of scientific knowledge.
Post-publication discussion provides an opportunity for researchers, practitioners, readers, and other members of the academic community to raise scientifically relevant questions, offer alternative interpretations, identify potential errors, and provide additional evidence concerning articles published in Jurnal Triton.
Submission of Post-Publication Comments
Readers who wish to comment on, discuss, or raise concerns regarding a published article may contact the editorial office of Jurnal Triton through the official communication channels provided on the journal's website. Submissions should clearly identify the article concerned, including its title, authors, publication year, and DOI or article URL, where available.
Comments should be evidence-based, scientifically relevant, respectful, and presented in a professional manner. They may address methodological issues, data interpretation, reproducibility, theoretical arguments, research limitations, or other matters that contribute meaningfully to scholarly discussion.
All submissions must comply with academic integrity standards and must not contain defamatory statements, personal attacks, discriminatory language, or unsupported allegations.
Editorial Assessment and Publication
The editorial team will conduct an initial assessment of submitted comments to determine their relevance, scientific merit, clarity, and suitability for publication. Where necessary, comments may be evaluated by independent experts or subjected to peer review, depending on their complexity and scientific significance.
The authors of the article under discussion may be invited to provide a response. Where appropriate, the comment and the authors' response may be published together or linked to the original article to facilitate balanced and transparent scholarly exchange.
The editorial team reserves the right to request revisions or decline comments that fall outside the journal's scope, lack sufficient scientific justification, contain inappropriate content, or do not meet the journal's publication standards. Editorial decisions will be made impartially and independently, without discrimination based on the author's institutional affiliation, academic position, nationality, or viewpoint.
Corrections and Research Integrity Concerns
Post-publication discussion may reveal potential errors, inconsistencies, or concerns regarding the integrity of a published article. When such concerns arise, Jurnal Triton will assess the available evidence and determine the appropriate course of action in accordance with its publication ethics and research misconduct policies.
Depending on the nature and seriousness of the issue, the journal may publish a correction, an expression of concern, or a retraction, where justified. Authors may be contacted for clarification, and relevant institutions or other competent authorities may be consulted when necessary.
Post-publication comments are not, by themselves, evidence of research misconduct. Any allegation will be assessed fairly, confidentially, and objectively, with due consideration given to the evidence and the responses of the parties involved.
Ethical Standards and Transparency
All participants in post-publication discussion are expected to uphold academic integrity, respect intellectual property rights, disclose relevant conflicts of interest, and provide accurate supporting references where applicable. Individuals submitting comments must ensure that their contributions are original and do not infringe the rights of others.
Jurnal Triton is committed to maintaining a fair and transparent process for evaluating post-publication comments while protecting the integrity of the scholarly record. Relevant comments, author responses, and editorial notices will be linked to the original article whenever practicable and appropriate.
Commitment to Continuous Scholarly Dialogue
Through this policy, Jurnal Triton seeks to foster an open, responsible, and constructive academic environment in which published research can be critically evaluated and improved over time. The journal encourages meaningful scholarly engagement that advances knowledge, strengthens research quality, and supports the development of agriculture, animal science, agricultural technology, agribusiness, and related disciplines.
This policy applies to all articles published by Jurnal Triton and will be implemented consistently with the journal's peer-review, publication ethics, conflict of interest, correction, and retraction policies.
