Authorship Criteria
Jurnal Triton upholds the principles of academic integrity, transparency, accountability, and responsible authorship in scholarly publishing. All individuals listed as authors of a submitted manuscript must have made substantial intellectual contributions to the research and must be willing to take responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the published work.
To qualify for authorship, each author must meet the following criteria:
-
Substantial Contribution: The author must have made a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the study, the acquisition of research data, or the analysis and interpretation of the data.
-
Manuscript Preparation or Revision: The author must have participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.
-
Final Approval: The author must have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript submitted for publication.
-
Accountability: The author must agree to be accountable for their own contributions and cooperate in addressing any questions concerning the accuracy, integrity, or ethical conduct of the research.
All individuals designated as authors are expected to satisfy these criteria. Individuals who have contributed to the research but do not meet the authorship requirements should be acknowledged appropriately, with their consent, in the Acknowledgements section.
Corresponding Author
The corresponding author is responsible for communicating with the editorial office throughout the submission, peer-review, revision, and publication processes. The corresponding author must ensure that all listed authors have approved the manuscript and agreed to its submission to Jurnal Triton. The corresponding author is also responsible for providing accurate author information, affiliations, email addresses, and other required declarations.
Author Order and Changes in Authorship
The order of authors should reflect the relative contributions agreed upon by all authors. Any request to add, remove, or rearrange authors after manuscript submission must be accompanied by a written explanation and the agreement of all affected authors. Such requests are subject to review and approval by the editorial office. Changes in authorship will not be permitted solely to recognize seniority, institutional position, or honorary status.
Prohibition of Unethical Authorship Practices
Jurnal Triton does not accept ghost authorship, guest or honorary authorship, gift authorship, or any other practice that misrepresents an individual's contribution to the research. Authorship must not be granted solely on the basis of academic rank, administrative position, funding provision, supervision, or institutional affiliation without the required intellectual contribution.
Any suspected violation of authorship ethics will be evaluated in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies and established principles of responsible scholarly publishing.
Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools
Authors must disclose the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools or other AI-assisted technologies when such tools have materially contributed to manuscript preparation, data analysis, or other relevant aspects of the research, in accordance with the journal's AI policy. AI tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and accountability of scholarly work. Authors remain fully responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI-assisted content, ensuring appropriate attribution, and avoiding plagiarism, fabricated information, or misleading statements.
Authorship Disputes
Any dispute concerning authorship, author order, or individual contributions should first be addressed by the authors and their affiliated institutions. Jurnal Triton may suspend the editorial process or publication while a dispute is being investigated. The journal will take appropriate action based on the available evidence and relevant institutional findings, while maintaining fairness, confidentiality, and the integrity of the scholarly record.
By submitting a manuscript to Jurnal Triton, all authors confirm that the authorship information is accurate, that all listed authors meet the stated criteria, and that they accept responsibility for their respective contributions to the work.
