Instruction to Authors
General Information
- Manuscripts must be original, have not been published previously in any scientific journal, that manuscripts are not being submitted for publication elsewhere, and will not be submitted to any media during the review process, unless the authors have officially withdrawn the manuscripts from Jurnal Triton. Jurnal Triton uses Similarity Check powered by ithenticate to prevent any suspected plagiarism in the manuscripts.
- Manuscripts submitted are research topics which have no conflict with bioethical research.
- Manuscripts encompass a broad range of research topics in the scope of agricultural sciences with priority on Agriculture extension, Social, Economics, and applied research on Agriculture (including Animal Husbandry) in a broad sense based on the needs of farmers.
- The journal is published 2 (Two) times a year, i.e. June and December.
Manuscript Preparation
Before submitting, the author must adjust the manuscript according to the journal template and the author must also attach publication ethics
Manuscript File
- Manuscripts are written in Indonesian/English and used standard scientific usage. Authors whose first language is not Indonesian/English should consult the manuscript with Indonesian/English editing service before submit it to Jurnal Triton.
- Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format, except for Graphs using Microsoft Excel program and Figures using JPEG or PNG format.
- Manuscripts should be typed using Times New Roman fonts at 11 points.
- Manuscripts should be typed 1.5 spaced except for Title, Tables, Title of Graphs/Figures, and appendix typed single spaced. Manuscripts are prepared in A4 paper, margins on all four sides are 2.5 cm, and total number of pages maximal is 15.
- Use page numbers.
- Manuscripts content should be arranged as the following order: Title, Name of the author(s) and their institutions, Abstract, Introduction, Methods (for Socio-Economic), Materials and Methods (for non Socio-Economic), Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Conflict of Interest, Acknowledgment (if any), References.
General requirements
Jurnal Triton editorial team accepts manuscripts in both Indonesian and English. Writing manuscripts in Indonesian must follow standard Indonesian rules and use words based on enhanced spelling (EYD). Manuscripts must be created using the Microsoft Word for Windows program, typed in Times New Roman, font size 11, with 1.5 spacing (except Title and Abstract, 1 spacing) on A4 paper (21 × 29.7 cm) with 2.5 cm margins on all four sides. The manuscript must also have page numbers at the bottom right. The maximum number of pages for the Triton Journal is 15 pages.
Manuscript Format
Manuscripts sent to Jurnal Triton editor must be original writings resulting from research or reviews, have never been published in other journals and are not currently in the editing process in other journals. Manuscripts must be written in the following format: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions and Suggestions, Acknowledgments (if any), Contribution Statement, and Bibliography.
Title
The title of the manuscript should be as short as possible but still clearly represent the contents of the manuscript. The entire title should be no more than 20 words. The title is written in capital letters at the beginning of each word and in bold. The name of the author (Authors) is written in the title of the manuscript, without including academic or professional degrees. The name and address of the institution are written after the author's name in the format: Department/Department/Study Program, Faculty, and University. If the author comes from more than one agency, authors from other agencies are annotated using footnotes with Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, ...). Apart from that, the corresponding author is marked with an "*" and additional information is given in the last line of the footnote in the form of an email address.
Abstract
The abstract is made on the same page as the title page and is made in two languages, namely Indonesian and English. The word Abstract is written in capital letters and separated from the abstract body paragraph. The abstract contains a maximum of 250 words and is written in one paragraph. The abstract begins with an introduction (1-2 sentences), research objectives (1 sentence), materials and methods (3-5 sentences), research results (3-5 sentences), conclusion (1 sentence), and Policy Suggestion/Implication (1 sentence) written concisely, concisely, and clear. Writing data that is already contained in the discussion results section should be avoided.
Keywords
Keywords consist of a maximum of 5 (five) and a minimum of 3 (three) words or groups of words. The words “Keywords” and keywords are sorted in alphabetical order. Capital letters are only found in the first word.
Introduction
The introduction is written on a separate page after the title page and abstract. The introduction contains the background and objectives of the research which is supported by literature related to the research contains the latest explanation (state of the art) regarding the focus of the discussion and contains a discussion of the novelty of the article. Excessive inclusion of literature reviews should be avoided and if necessary the literature should be used to support the discussion. The number of pages in the introduction is 1-2 pages.
Method
The method contains the tools, materials and methods used in the research. The inclusion of tools and materials must be followed by information regarding the name of the material/equipment, the manufacturer's company and the city of manufacture. For research methods, the analysis method must be written clearly and in detail so that the method can be carried out again by the researcher. If during the research there are modifications to existing standard methods, the modifications that have been made must be included. In the final section of the materials and methods, the statistical analysis method used must be clearly stated.
Results and Discussion
This section contains research data presented in tables or images (graphs, diagrams, photos, etc.), and the interpretation of these results is based on the author's opinion which is supported by the literature.
Table
Tables are presented on the manuscript page. All tables must be cited in the text. All tables must be numbered using Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3,…). The table title must be short and concise but clearly represent the data in the table. The title is written above the table. In the table, there are only three or four horizontal lines without any vertical lines. The first horizontal line is a double line at the top of the first table row, the second line is a single line at the bottom of the first table row, and the third and fourth lines are single lines at the bottom of the last row of the table. Rows in the table must be made with one space between rows and the first letter of the parameter in each row or column is written in capital letters.
Image
The images referred to here can be in the form of graphs, diagrams, photos, etc. Figures are presented on a separate page after the table page. Image titles must be short and concise and clearly represent the content of the image. The title is written below the image (graph, diagram, photo) and numbered with Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, ...). The legend or description of the image should be written in the same line as the image title.
Conclusion
Conclusions are written concisely and clearly, describing the substance of the research results that have been obtained and/or their implications. In the conclusion section, a discussion of the results should be avoided.
Bibliography
References must be prepared according to the guidelines of Jurnal Triton. If a reference has a digital object identifier (DOI), it should be supplied. Non-published findings and personal communications should not be included in the list of references. The references need to be written using applications for reference management such as Mendeley, Zotero, or Endnote. The bibliography is written based on rules in accordance with the American Psychological Association Style 7th edition. References cited in the text must be written:
